Hey everyone! It’s been a busy first week of June at the Johnson Fire Department!

We kicked the week off with our monthly drill, where members practiced all the skills necessary for fire extinguishment and setting up water supply between multiple trucks.

Then, although we don’t have pictures to share, throughout the week many of our members have been at the Orange County Fire Training Center taking classes in order to better themselves and our department.

We closed it out strong attending the Town of Minisink’s annual Heritage Day at the Town Hall. We do what we do because we love our community and enjoy spending time with those who feel the same!

Thank you all for supporting us, either through kind words or trying your luck with our raffle! (The winner of our Heritage Day lotto tree was J Curtis, congratz!)

Today our members attended memorials at the American Legion George Smith Post #1607 and the Unionville Fire Department.

We at the Johnson Fire Department believe it’s important to honor the brave men and women of our armed forces who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the freedoms we are able to enjoy today. Their courage and service remind us of the true meaning of this solemn day.

While we enjoy time with family and friends, please remember those who gave everything so we could gather safely. We thank our veterans, active duty service members, and all first responders. Stay safe and have a meaningful Memorial Day.
